Zij voeden hun &#8216;community&#8217; met nieuwe informatie en nemen de rol van gids bij meningsvorming op zich. Lezers plaatsen hun favoriete magazinemerk steevast dicht bij zichzelf en bij hun eigen identiteit. Het zijn merken waarmee ze zich identificeren.<\/p>\n<p>52% is het eens met de stelling: mijn magazinekeuze zegt iets over wie ik ben. Bron: Magazine Experiences Europe, Time &amp; Fortune<\/p>\n<p>Magazines zijn mediamerken die meer dan andere media persoonlijke vervulling geven. &#8216;Ik&#8217; en &#8216;mijn&#8217; zijn woorden die het vaakst verbonden worden met magazinemerken. The Carat Consumer Connection Study identificeerde de volgende motivaties* voor het lezen van magazines:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>content die aansluit bij mijn smaak en interesses<\/li>\n<li>nieuwe dingen te weten komen<\/li>\n<li>ideeen krijgen<\/li>\n<li>op de hoogte blijven<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><em>*Deze resultaten komen sterk overeen met bevindingen uit andere studies, zoals de Belgische Media Experience studie van IP Plurimedia.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><b>Wat magazinemerken zeggen doet er echt toe<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Lezers investeren in magazines om kennis te vergaren en een onderbouwde mening te vormen op basis van een redactionele bron waarvan ze weten dat deze uitstekend ge\u00efnformeerd en waarop ze vertrouwen. Magazines worden consistent &#8216;vrienden&#8217; genoemd. En naar onze vrienden luisteren we allemaal.<\/p>\n<p>In 21st Century Women, [2012] onderzocht de Amerikaanse uitgeverij Conde Nast de invloed van magazinemerken op het leven van jonge Britse vrouwen. Men concludeerde dat magazinecontent voor deze interessante groep de meest betrouwbare bron van informatie (harde feiten en data) is:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>jonge vrouwen vertrouwen raad van vrienden het meest, gevolgd door magazines<\/li>\n<li>glossy magazines zijn voor hen inspirerender dan welk ander medium ook<\/li>\n<li>ze vertrouwen magazine 3x meer dan TV<\/li>\n<li>20% volgt haar favoriete magazinemerk op twitter<\/li>\n<li>&#8216;influentials&#8217;, de informele experts in onze samenleving, hechten grote waarde aan magazinemerken als informatiebron. Dat is het bewijs voor hun culturele gewicht<\/li>\n<li>meer dan 90% van de influentials is magazinelezer, ongeacht de sector (bron: TGI)<\/li>\n<li>49% van alle vrouwen &#8216;praten vaak met anderen over zaken die ze in magazines lezen&#8217;. IPA TouchPoints<\/li>\n<li>Jongere doelgroepen blijken meer dan anderen geinspireerd door redactionele content: 62% van de 15 tot 35-jarige vrouwen geeft dit aan. IPA TouchPoints<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&#8220;By virtue of its widespread reach, television sparks the most brand conversations by volume. But print (magazines) is better than any other media at reaching Influencers. And Influencers are the most active recommenders&#8221;.
