Het jaarlijkse ‘Global Entertainment and Media Outlook 2014-2018’ rapport van PwC bevat zes cruciale inzichten die een beloftevolle toekomst voor magazinemedia uittekenen:<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

1. Voor het eerst zal digitaal de wereldwijde printomzet in 2015 meer dan bijspringen en tot een groei van de totale omzet leiden van +0,2 %.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

2. De omzet uit de digitale verspreiding van consumentenmagazines zal stijgen met ruim 30 % per jaar. De verschuiving van gratis websites naar betaalde modellen zal het omzetaandeel van digitaal van 4 % in 2013 naar 14 % in 2018 stuwen.<\/span><\/p>\n

3. De digitale reclame-omzet wint nog veel meer aan gewicht volgens PwC, met een jaarlijkse groei van 17,6 %. Dit is meer dan een compensatie van de dalende reclame-inkomsten uit print magazines (-3,9 % per jaar). Vandaag spitsen adverteerders zich nog grotendeels op de magazinesites toe, maar weldra zullen de electronische edities van de titels aan populariteit winnen.<\/span><\/p>\n

4. Een vierde inzicht betreft de nakende ‘all you can read’-abonnementsdiensten die binnen afzienbare tijd een kritieke massa zullen bereiken. Dit zal de omzet zowel naar oplages als naar reclame-inkomsten toe een boost geven.<\/span><\/p>\n

5. De totale oplages van consumentenmagazines zullen voorlopig nog blijven dalen met ca. 0,7 % per jaar, maar er zijn duidelijke tekenen dat de oplages zich na 2018 stabiliseren. De oplagedaling neemt dan af tot 0,3 %.<\/span><\/p>\n

6. Voor vakbladen zijn vooral de groeimarkten als China, India, Rusland en Zuid-Afrika in de toekomst zeer interessant.<\/span><\/p>\n
