Dat betekent wakker. Het is \u2018slang\u2019 om te zeggen: ik zie het maatschappelijke of politieke probleem. \u2018Woke advertising\u2019 staat voor het inzetten van spanningsvelden in je marcom mix. Vaak omarmen bedrijven die omdat ze actief mee willen bouwen aan een betere wereld. Het vastpakken van spanningsvelden die dicht bij hun DNA liggen, maakt het mogelijk om dat ook te doen.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018Woke washing\u2019 is vals spelen anno 2020. Lees: je pakt als bedrijf een politiek of maatschappelijk spanningsveld vast omdat je daarmee wil scoren. Verder zet je geen stappen om een \u2018force for good\u2019 te zijn om het probleem aan te pakken of op te lossen. Noem \u2018woke whashing\u2019 gerust het fenomeen van \u2018een dun laagje chroom\u2019. Het ziet er oppervlakkig best goed uit, maar wie even krabbelt, vindt al gauw de lege doos.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Waarom wordt het een trend in 2020?<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>\u2018Waarom zou ik je kopen of graag (blijven) zien?\u2019 Die vraag ligt vandaag bij heel wat consumenten op de lippen. Wat \u2018on fleek\u2019 (lees: hip) is vandaag, is morgen al snel niet meer \u2018gucci\u2019 (lees: doet het goed). In een wereld van eenheidsworst en slimme alternatieven, moeten merken en bedrijven hun meerwaarde bewijzen. Sommige spelers kiezen voor de snelle afrit en zetten de tanden zonder nadenken in een politiek of maatschappelijk spanningsveld. Als het engagement oprecht en actief is, knikt de goegemeente instemmend. Oppervlakkig opportunisme leidt vandaag zo goed als altijd tot publiek misprijzen. \u2018Woke washing\u2019 is een gokje dat meestal slecht uitpakt \u2013 gelukkig maar.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Welke link met magazine media legt u?<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>\u2018Woke washing\u2019 doet het imago van je medium geen goed. Ook al ben je royaal voor de mediaruimte betaald &#8211; wie \u2018woke washing\u2019 mee groot maakt, verliest altijd. Vandaag circuleren bij bewuste bedrijven en organisaties al \u2018liever niet\u2019 lijstjes. Daarop staan namen van media die \u2018voor iedereen die betaalt\u2019 de deur openzetten. Die media worden systematisch uit de betaalde mediamix gefilterd. Reden? Ze zijn geen versterker meer om de boodschap mee uit te dragen, maar een verslapper. Die trend zet zich zeker en vast verder door.
